  • Location Data (Foreground & Background): Precise GPS location coordinates. For drivers, location data is collected in the background even when the app is minimized or closed to enable live passenger tracking and trip requests.
  • Transaction & Trip Details: Pickup and dropoff locations, route data, fare amounts, payment status, and timestamps.
  • Device & Usage Data: Device model, operating system version, push notification tokens (OneSignal / FCM), and IP address.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for essential service operations, including:

  • Connecting riders with nearby online drivers in real-time.
  • Calculating accurate ride distances, estimated arrival times, and trip fares.
  • Sending real-time push notifications regarding ride requests, acceptance, arrival, and completion.
  • Ensuring safety, fraud prevention, and verifying driver documentation.
  • Providing customer support and resolving trip disputes.

4. Background Location Data Notice

Important Location Access Policy: Instafer Driver collects location data to enable nearby ride matching, live route navigation, and passenger safety tracking even when the Driver app is running in the background or closed.

Location collection for Drivers begins when the driver toggles their status to “On Duty / Available” and stops when they toggle “Off Duty”. Riders’ location is accessed only while using the application to set pickup and dropoff points.

5. Data Security & Storage

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data transmissions between our mobile apps and servers are encrypted using secure SSL/TLS protocols.

6. Third-Party Services

We partner with trusted third-party service providers solely for essential operational functionality:

  • Google Maps API: For map rendering, address geocoding, and route calculation.
  • Firebase & Firestore: For real-time database updates and authentication services.
  • OneSignal: For delivering real-time push notifications.

7. Your Data Rights & Account Deletion

  • Access, review, or update your personal account details within the app settings.
  • Opt out of non-essential promotional notifications.
  • Request permanent deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting customer support or using the in-app “Delete Account” button.
